  • Established the shock division for Teraflex, resulting in a new company, Falcon Shocks.

  • Designed, strategized, and was involved in all aspects of operations of the company.

  • Continued to oversee the systems, assembly line, machine shop, overseas manufacturing relationships, and high level quality control systems I created at Teraflex.

  • In just 3 years, Falcon became a well-known brand in the Jeep market. Falcon sales went from $0 to several millions in 2 years (2016 was a year of preparation and establishing a foundation for Falcon).

Chief of Product Design
  • Designed products for the JL

  • Created systems, designed an assembly line, started a machine shop, established overseas manufacturing relationships, and instituted high level quality control systems.

12.2008 - 4.2015
Fox Factory (Fox Racing Shox)
Product Design Manager for PSD (Power Sports Division)
  • Created automotive quality drawing standards using latest GD&T.

  • Created various tabulated drawing methods that greatly improved communication internally and with suppliers.

  • Direct supervision of 4 designers and indirect supervision of 6 application engineers.

  • Final sign-off on all component drawings and assembly drawings.

  • Brought a higher understanding of fluid dynamics and suspension dynamics to other members of our team, propelling the team to produce better products and greatly exceed monetary targets by as much as 30%.

  • Responsible for the designs of 90% of all components in PSD currently in production (as of April 2015).

  • Reduced ECN changes and lead times by working with the quality department on creating systems of pre-tabulated like parts; decreased lead times from three months to a few weeks.

  • Cost reduced product line with an average cost savings of 40%, enabling Fox Power Sports Division to expand from $10 million per year revenue to $60 million in 6 years, with a 3 year projection of $100 million.

  • Created and worked with other teams in PSD on standardizing the aesthetics of product lines.

  • Worked with marketing on creating a unified decal system with a modular theme.

  • Part of a 5-person team for design oversight for all three divisions (bike, off-road, power sports).

  • Multiple patents and others pending (25 and counting).

  • Created an aftermarket and prototype fast turn system (late model customization) reducing lead times from two months or more to one week.

  • Worked with others in the group to create a fast turn assembly drawing system and automated BOM load.

  • No PSD recall from design-related issues in 7 years.

5.2004 - 12.2008
AFCO Racing Products

  • Enabled AFCO to approach new markets with reduced cost and better-performing products

  • Developed modular shock systems design with a 60% reduction in part SKU

  • Developed a system of designing performance race car headers with 70% reduction in time to market (TTM) with reduced cost to manufacture

  • Created a system of fabrication with a 30% reduction in cost

  • Designed lower cost, better-performing family of monoblock brake calipers

  • Worked with manufacturing and quality for overall improvements in efficiency

  • Designed assembly line for shock absorbers, reducing errors and decreasing assembly time

  • Brought a higher level of drawing methods and design to a small company
